PHASE II - WEEKLY REFLECTION 5 (08/07/2024 - 12/07/2024)

 Week – 5 (08/07/2024 – 12/07/2024) 

The fifth week of school internship programme was from 8 July, 2024 to 12 July, 2024. I continued the topic Nothing Twice. The topic appreciation of the poem was dealt this week. As usual the class began with an informal interaction. To create mental readiness a few questions were asked about the poem. The answers were then connected to the topic of discussion. The topic was then introduced and then explained to the learners. A group activity was then given to the learners. Their answers were checked and edited. The leaners were asked to present their answers. The class was winded up with a follow up activity. The next day the topics Imagery and Alliteration related to the poem was discussed. A few sentences were presented in charts and questions were asked based on these sentences as entry activity.  The answers were connected to the topic. After introducing the topic, two group activities were given to the learners. Their answers were presented and a better version of the answer was provided to them. The class was winded up with a follow up activity. 

Our general teacher Ms. Shameema S. L. visited our school for class observation. She gave the necessary instructions after observing the class to increase our confidence.  


                                         

From the next day onwards textual activities were discussed each day. On Thursday, the topic Question Tags were discussed. On Friday, the topic Active and Passive Voice was discussed. These topics were taught using the same teaching methods with slight variations.

Overall it was a good week. I was satisfied with the classes. Use of teaching aids made the classes effective and more interesting. The students participated in all the activities enthusiastically.
