  Week – 7    (22/07/2024 – 26/07/2024) The last week of school internship programme was from 22 July, 2024 to 26 July, 2024. The grammar topics Simple Past Tense, Prepositions and Adjectives were taught to the students based on the models of teaching. On Thursday, the topic Articles were taught to the learners using the innovative lesson plan. The class began with an informal interaction with the students. As a preliminary task the learners were asked to read a poem which was presented to them. Then the topic was introduced to them. After that a group activity was given to the learners. The answers were discussed. Then the rules concerning the usage of articles and its exceptions were discussed using flow charts as well as a tree – shaped chart. By creating a visual representation of how concepts fit together, cognitive maps make it easier for students to learn, remember, and understand complex subjects. PHASE II - WEEKLY REFLECTION 6 (15/07/2024 - 19/07/2024)

  Week – 6 (15/07/2024 -19/07/2024) The sixth week of school internship programme was from 15 July, 2024 to 19 July, 2024.This week I discussed the topics Compound Adjectives, Affixes, Conversational Activities and Noun phrase and Verb Phrase . These topics were taught based on the activities given in their textbook. The same teaching methods as that of the previous week was followed. Group activities were given to the learners on each of the topics each day. Their answers were either checked and edited or a better version was given to them. Questions were also asked to check their level of understanding. Follow -up activities were also given each day which was discussed the next day. The week was indeed remarkable. I was able to take the classes in a confident way. Teaching aids like charts, slides etc. were used throughout the week.    The students actively participated in all the activities.

  Week – 5 (08/07/2024 – 12/07/2024)   The fifth week of school internship programme was from 8 July, 2024 to 12 July, 2024. I continued the topic  Nothing Twice . The topic appreciation of the poem was dealt this week. As usual the class began with an informal interaction. To create mental readiness a few questions were asked about the poem. The answers were then connected to the topic of discussion. The topic was then introduced and then explained to the learners. A group activity was then given to the learners. Their answers were checked and edited. The leaners were asked to present their answers. The class was winded up with a follow up activity. The next day the topics Imagery and Alliteration related to the poem was discussed. A few sentences were presented in charts and questions were asked based on these sentences as entry activity.  The answers were connected to the topic. PHASE II - WEEKLY REFLECTION 4 (01/07/2024 - 05/07/2024)

  Week – 4 (01/07/2024 – 05/07/2024) The fourth week of school internship programme was from 1 July, 2024 to 5 July, 2024. I continued the chapter Debts of Gratitude this week. I was able to complete the chapter by Wednesday, I began the next chapter titled Nothing Twice on the next day.  I started the class by presenting a picture as an entry activity. Then I asked a few questions and went on to read the first three stanzas. Then the learners were asked to read silently and share their ideas with peers. A few questions were asked related to the topic to check their level of understanding. The students responded actively. Then with the help of flashcards or slides unfamiliar words with their meanings were introduced to them. A group activity was then given to the learners. The learners presented their answers and then a better version of the answer was given to them. Then the topic discussed in the class was recapitulated and a few questions were also asked to them. PHASE II - WEEKLY REFLECTION 3 (24/06/2024 - 28/06/2024)

  Week – 3 ( 24/06/2024 – 28/06/2024) The third week of school internship programme was from 24 June, 2024 to 28 June, 2024. I continued with the activities in the chapter titled  Half A Day  during this week. I completed the chapter including the textual activities this week. After the completion of the chapter, a diagnostic test was conducted for the learners. The learners were informed about the test in the previous day along with the necessary instructions. All the learners who were present on the day attended the test. I also began the next chapter titled  Debts of Gratitude  this week. Teaching aids like charts, flashcards and PowerPoint presentations were used to make the classes interesting. Various activities were also given to the students.  I was able to take the classes with confidence this week. I believe that all the students were able to understand the topics dealt in the class. I was also able to manage the classroom in an effective manner.
