PHASE II - WEEKLY REFLECTION 3 (24/06/2024 - 28/06/2024)

  Week – 3 ( 24/06/2024 – 28/06/2024) The third week of school internship programme was from 24 June, 2024 to 28 June, 2024. I continued with the activities in the chapter titled  Half A Day  during this week. I completed the chapter including the textual activities this week. After the completion of the chapter, a diagnostic test was conducted for the learners. The learners were informed about the test in the previous day along with the necessary instructions. All the learners who were present on the day attended the test. I also began the next chapter titled  Debts of Gratitude  this week. Teaching aids like charts, flashcards and PowerPoint presentations were used to make the classes interesting. Various activities were also given to the students.  I was able to take the classes with confidence this week. I believe that all the students were able to understand the topics dealt in the class. I was also able to manage the classroom in an effective manner.

PHASE II - WEEKLY REFLECTION 2 (18/06/2024 - 21/06/2024)

  Week – 2 ( 18/06/2024 – 21/06/2024 ) The second week of school internship programme was from 18 June, 2024 to 21 June, 2024.    I continued with the rest of the chapter titled  Half A Day  during this week. I was able to complete half of the chapter. The procedures were as usual. The class began with an informal interaction which was followed with a discussion of the follow up activity given the previous day. Then a few questions were asked. Then the next few paragraphs were read in the class. The learners were asked to read the paragraphs silently and then share their ideas with their peers. Few questions regarding the topic were asked. Unfamiliar words were introduced along with their meanings. Group activities were given and then I recapitulated the topic taught to them. The class was concluded with a follow up activity. In education, its purpose is to help students see how different ideas or pieces of information are connected. By creating a visual representation of how concepts fit together, cognitive maps make it easier for students to learn, remember, and understand complex subjects. SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE II - WEEKLY REFLECTION 1 (12/06/2024 - 14/06/2024)

Week - 1 ( 12/60/2024 - 14/06/2024 ) As part of the BEd curriculum, we the second year trainees from Fathima Memorial Training College, Pallimukku were sent to different schools to be engaged in the first phase school internship programme. Three trainees from English optional were allowed to practice in Krist Raj Hss Kollam. The second phase of our school internship programme commenced on June 12, 2024.    We arrived at the school at 9:00 am and handed over the attendance register to the Headmaster of the school and met the concerned teachers who gave us the necessary instructions regarding the classes. A separate room was allotted for the trainees. The classes start at 9:30 am after the Morning Prayer. The working hours of the school were from 9:30am to 3:30pm. There are eight periods in a day.
