  Week – 6 (20/11/2023 -24/11/2023) The sixth week of school internship programme was from 20 November, 2023 to 24 November, 2023. I continued the topic The Nightingale and the Rose . I was able to complete the chapter by the second day of the week. On the third day I began a new chapter titled First Showers . After giving a brief idea about the theme of the poem and the poet using various teaching aids, I recited the first eight lines of the poem. Then the learners were asked to read the poem silently. Then the learners were asked to share their ideas. A few questions were asked to check their level of understanding. Unfamiliar words were introduced to them along with their meanings. A detailed appreciation of the poem was then given to them. Later a group activity was given to them and their answers were checked. Then they were asked to present their answers. Week – 5 (13/11/2024 – 18/11/2023)   The fifth week of school internship programme was from 13 November, 2023 to 18 November, 2023. I continued the topic The Nightingale and the Rose . The procedures were as usual. The class began with an informal interaction which was followed with a discussion of the follow up activity which was given the previous day. Then a few questions were asked. Then the next few paragraphs were read in the class. The learners were asked to read the paragraphs silently and then share their ideas with their peers, Few questions regarding the topic was asked. Unfamiliar words were introduced along with their meanings. Group activities were given and then I recapitulated the topic taught to them. The class was concluded with a follow up activity. This method was followed throughout the week with slight variations. Overall it was a good week. I was satisfied with the classes.   Week – 4 (06/11/2023 – 10/11/2023) The fourth week of school internship programme was from 6 November, 2023 to 10 November, 2023. I started a new chapter this week. The title of the chapter was The Nightingale and the Rose . Before beginning the chapter, I gave the students a brief idea of the theme of the lesson. A few details about the author was also mentioned. I started the class by presenting a picture as an entry activity. Then I asked a few questions and went on to read the first few paragraphs. Then the learners were asked to read silently and share their ideas with peers. A few questions were asked related to the topic to check their level of understanding. The students responded actively. Then with the help of flashcards or slides unfamiliar words with their meanings were introduced to them. A group activity was then given to the learners.   Week – 3 ( 01/11/2023 – 04/11/2023) The third week of school internship programme was from 1 November, 2023 to 4 November, 2023. I continued with the rest of the chapter titled A Day in the Country  during this week. Teaching aids like charts, flashcards and PowerPoint presentations were used to make the classes interesting. Various activities were also given to the students. I also took some activity lesson plans on the topics ‘Poster making’ and ‘Slogan Writing’ based on the chapter. After the completion of the chapter, a diagnostic test was conducted for the learners. The learners were informed about the test in the previous day along with all the necessary instructions. All the learners who were present on the day attended the test. I was able to take the classes with confidence this week. I believe that all the students were able to understand the topics dealt in the class. I was also able to manage the classroom in an effective manner.
